Free Early Education for Two Year Olds

The free early education for two year olds operates in a significant number of pre-schools and day nurseries throughout Hertfordshire. The scheme offers eligible children up to 15 hours per week of high quality early years education from the term after their second birthday.

The aims of the scheme are:

to improve outcomes and narrow the gap in educational achievement between disadvantaged children and other children within Hertfordshire
to improve outcomes for parents, signposting them to services and supporting them as appropriate
to increase the take up of the free entitlement for two year olds.
