The Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills (Ofsted) regulates and inspects to achieve excellence in the care of children and young people, as well as education and skills for learners of all ages.
Our most recent Ofsted was in May 2026, where we achieved an expected standard for EYFS and Personal Development and Wellbeing. While the report identifies areas where we must continue to improve, it also recognises many of Maple Grove's strengths and the positive changes already made. We are proud that inspectors acknowledged:
- Children in the Early Years receive a positive start to their education, with strong teaching in phonics, communication and early mathematics.
- Pupils feel safe, settled and happy, and safeguarding standards were fully met.
- Pupils are described as kind, respectful and caring, with positive attitudes to learning and calm behaviour around the school.
- Staff know children well and provide effective support for their wellbeing, helping pupils to develop confidence and resilience.
- The school offers a wide range of enrichment opportunities, including clubs, visits and activities that broaden pupils' experiences and interests.
- Inspectors recognised that leaders have taken positive steps to improve outcomes, including improvements in phonics, the curriculum and support for disadvantaged pupils.

Parent View gives you the chance to tell Ofsted what you think about your child’s school, from the quality of teaching to how it deals with bullying and poor behaviour. The survey can be completed at any time; you don’t have to wait until the school is being inspected.
Ofsted will use the information you provide when making decisions about which schools to inspect and when.
