Friends of Maple Grove (FOMG)

The main objective of The Friends of Maple Grove is to raise funds for various activities and equipment and to promote awareness of the school to local businesses and organisations.

Friends of Maple Grove comprises of a selection of teachers, parents and school council members. We are very grateful to them for dedicating their time to raising funds for the children of Maple Grove.

Previous fundraising has provided the children with:

• Books for classrooms
• Christmas pantomime
• A trip to Legoland
• A trip to Gullivers Land
• Most recently FMG have paid towards our very successful daily running track that we now have in the school grounds.
• Provided some picnic tables for outdoor lunchtime.
• KS1 and KS2 playground climbing walls.

As a team we arrange fund-raising activities such as:

• Christmas Fetes
• Termly discos
• Summer fairs
• Charity events such as MacMillan Cancer support, Children in Need, Comic and Sports Relief and other more local charity events.

The main aim of our fundraising is to give the children of Maple Grove extra playground equipment and wet weather indoor toys as well as to send the children on additional school trips. Without this money many worthwhile extras would not be possible.
