Applying for a Nursery place for September 2024
Maple Grove offers a one-form (30 places) nursery. We admit all children in September, giving all children a full year in nursery.
Nursery doors open at 8.40 am, and every child receives 5 x 3 hours of sessions from 8.50 am to 11.50 noon, with the option of additional hours from 11.50 noon - 3.15 pm.
Additional hours can be accessed through the 30 hours free childcare scheme. Please see www.chidcarechoices.gov.uk to find out if you are eligible. This is from 8.50am until 3.15pm Monday to Thursdays and up to 1.10pm on a Friday when all 30 hours have been claimed. Additional sessions are charged as following:
Fridays - 1.10pm to 3.15pm - £12
Mondays to Fridays - 11.50am to 1.00pm - £6 per day
Mondays to Fridays - 11.50am to 3.15pm - £18 per day

Application process
The application process for nursery admissions 2024 opens on Monday, 22nd January 2024, for all children born between 1st September 2020 and 31st August 2021.
Application forms can be downloaded from the link below, collected or emailed from the school office. Please email all applications to admin@maplegrove.herts.sch.uk or, if you prefer, hand them in to the school office.
All applications must be received by the school by 12.00 pm on Friday, 22nd March 2024, to be considered an on-time application.
There may be times when more families apply to join our nursery than there are places. In these cases, unsuccessful applicants will be added to the continuing interest list (waiting list).
Applications received after the deadline will be considered late applications as per our Nursery Admissions Policy; this can be found in the link below.
Parents will be notified by email on Tuesday, 26th March 2024, if they have been allocated a place in our nursery.
All places must be accepted by Tuesday, 16th April 2024, by 9 am.
